About Us

John Martin helped plant some of the first vineyards in the Willamette Valley, Oregon in the 1970's.  In 1992, he and Kayann Short founded Stonebridge Farm CSA, two miles east of Lyons, Colorado.  In 2002, John and Kayann planted a small vineyard to trial cold-hardy wine grapes for the Front Range of Colorado. To date, they have planted six each of twelve different varieties.

Reds:

•Frontenac
• St Croix
• Leon Millot
• Oberlin Noir
• Marquette
• Cynthiana (Norton)

Whites:

• Cayuga
• Seyval
• LaCrosse
• Esprit
• Briana
• Frontenac Gris

The first four reds and the first three whites are currently producing.  The others are in their first or second years.  With interesting new cold-hardy varieties being released every year, the vineyard will continue to expand.
